Robert Boyd-Bell has extensive media and communications experience, with his work in the educational and institutional sectors complemented by his senior roles at TVNZ and Communicado.
He has held senior editorial and managerial roles since the mid 1970s. In 1979, be became head of the Audio Visual Centre at the University of Auckland and was Joint Programme Director of the Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Communication. In 1992, he re-joined TVNZ as General Manager - Educational Television, responsible for designing, developing and managing the service. He served a five-year term as a Member of the New Zealand Broadcasting Tribunal, and was New Zealand's representative on the Pacific Rim Consortium that linked educational programme production activities in Europe, the United States of America, Japan, Canada and Australia.
Robert has been Executive Producer for many high-profile productions for TVNZ and TV3, as well as videos for the Ministry of Health and the ACC.
