To view programmes or live streams you will need the latest version of the Flash Media Player. If this is not already installed on your computer you will be automatically directed to the adobe website to download this.

Downloads are in Quicktime with the option to order a Windows Media version. You will need Quicktime 7 Player or VLC or Windows Media 9

e-cast education is a powerful on-line teaching and learning tool that provides real-time and real-life teaching resources through recorded programmes, live streams and videos, available to be viewed and downloaded. All Schools have free access to Live-streaming Channels, a Library of educational videos and an educational video Shop.

Ready to Watch Selected programmes from over thirty domestic and international television channels are recorded by e-cast and made available to educational establishments after they have been broadcast. Any "educational establishment" can subscribe to this unique service and select programmes from a wide range of subjects including the arts, science, languages, cultures, current events, sport and history. Live Streams International channels are streamed live, a powerful tool for students as they can watch and hear content from other countries, and for foreign students to view current information from their home country in their own language. The Library Programmes in the e-cast Library are free for all members to view and download. Content comes from educational, government and public service organisations, which have produced programmes that they want to make freely available to educators. The Shop NZ and international educational productions can be easily accessed as high quality downloads, or DVD where available.
